From the minute they start living together they start to get on more and more like a proper married couple and when Emily's mum arrives their relationship heats up with romantic gestures here and there.Slow-burn, fake-dating, that you might think, 'there's a thousand books with that trope', and you're right. She just wants to get through Christmas pretending she has a husband and then tell her mum it's all over. Emily needs to Marry and fast, her mother is expecting her husband to be there at Christmas but there's a problem, she's not actually married. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost two years now, and have been living together for a year and a half.

It's a few days until Christmas and our leading lady Emily needs a man to pretend to be her husband as her mum is coming to town.Find support, ask questions, swap stories, and follow brides planning real weddings here on Weddingbee. It was overall very entertaining, and I also liked the message: you can't let your past destroy your future. While I don't recommend Emily's method of finding a partner because Sam's a rare one and picking up homeless men has got to be a massive risk, I really enjoyed the plot. The line "If I marry you tomorrow will you take me straight to bed" suggests a sense of urgency and desire for an intense connection.
