As a result of recent flooding in some areas of Cheswick Green, residents are invited to attend a presentation on Wednesday 22nd August 2018 at 10.30am where representatives from Solihull Council will be present to discuss any concerns.
Parts of the West Midlands experienced more than a month’s rainfall in one hour on Sunday 27th May, leaving vehicles swamped by flood water up to 1.5 metres (5ft) deep. The flooding closed roads across the region. West Midlands fire service said it had dealt with more than 1,000 calls in just a few hours as the rain fell on Sunday. Drains struggled to cope in parts of Coppice Walk, Cheswick Way and Creynolds Lane and the River Blythe at Cheswick Green reached a level of 1.675m. If you were affected please comment.
